Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Lorraine E. Bellmont, 81, 230-12th Ave. N, who died Friday at St. Cloud Hospital.Burial will be in St. Joseph parish cemetery.Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. St. John Cantius Rosary Sodality will pray at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in St. Cloud, followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m.
Lorraine Bellmont was born in Marty to Nicholas and Mary (Mohs) Garding. She married Aloys A. Bellmont on Feb. 24, 1936 in Marty. They farmed in the Rockville and Waite Park areas until 1952. In 1962, they purchased and operated a tavern and off-sale liquor store in Waite Park. She was later employed by Fingerhut Co., retiring in 1984. She was a member of St. John Cantius parish and Rosary Sodality.
Survivors include daughters and son Marion Gross of St. Cloud, Laura Hoeschen of Freeport, and Joseph of Clearwater; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters Viola Rothstein of Kimball, Marcella Decker of Cold Spring, Louise Thul of Albany, Bernadine Nordmann of Richmond, Bernard Garding of Kimball, Dorothy Haus and Ann Koenig of St. Cloud.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oct. 23, 1981; son Vernon on April 8, 1996; two grandchildren; one great grandson; and five brothers and sisters.
