The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2007, at the Sacred Heart Chapel, Saint Benedict's Monastery, St. Joseph, for Sister Angella (Angeline) Dingmann who died on May 9, 2007, at Saint Scholastica Convent. Burial will be in the monastery cemetery. Friends may call at Saint Scholastica Convent, St. Cloud on Sunday, May 13, from 1-6 p.m., or for a Vigil Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at Saint Benedict's Monastery. Visitation continues at 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral on Monday, May 14, at 4 p.m.

S. Angella was born to Henry and Angela (Koetter) Dingmann in Foxholm, ND. She attended school in Farming, Minn. Before entering Saint Benedict's Monastery on October 27, 1935, she did housework at Saint Benedict's Academy and in St. Paul. She entered the novitiate on June 16, 1936, made first monastic profession on July 11, 1937, and perpetual profession on July 11, 1940. For ten years, S.Angella served as a homemaker at St. Mary's Mission in Altoona, Wis. During the next 15 years, she was a seamstress and helped in food service at the St. Cloud Hospital. At the College of Saint Benedict she assisted in the cafeteria for 13 years and then spent 10 years in campus postal service. After six years as receptionist at Saint Benedict's Monastery, she served in the same role at Saint Raphael's Convent. She moved to Saint Scholastica in 1992 where she was receptionist and did needlework, especially crocheting. Later her special ministry was one of prayer for the prioress, vocations and for the younger Sisters.

S. Angella is survived by her Benedictine community; two brothers: Lawrence (Betty) of Richmond and Ambrose (Florence) of Belgrade; and two sisters: Martha Mehr of Albany and Theresa Lieser of Paynesville; brother-in-law Roman Theis; sisters-in-law: Betty Dingmann and Magdalena Dingmann. She was preceded in death by four brothers: Alphonse, Clemens, Leonard and Gregor; and three sisters: Sister Walburga, OSB, Emma Olmscheid and Barbara Theis.
