Funeral services will be on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Frances M. Sand, age 102, formerly of 53-McKinley Place North, St. Cloud, who died on Tuesday at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids. The Rev. Peter Snyers will officiate. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday between 4-9 p.m. at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Crosier Apostolates will pray at 6 p.m. followed by St. John Cantius Rosary Sodality and St. Anne¹s Christian Women at 6:30 p.m. and the Parish Prayers at 7 p.m. Funeral arrangements are being made with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
Frances was born September 5, 1899 in Richmond to Casper and Mary (Lambach) Huschle. She married Louis J. Sand on October 7, 1919 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Richmond. She lived in the St. Cloud area all of her married life. She was a member of St. John Cantius Catholic Church, Rosary Sodality, Crosier Apostolates, and St. Anne¹s Christian Women.
Survivors include her children, Eva Ethen, St. Paul, Del Sand, St. Cloud, Allan Sand (Kay), St. Cloud, Mary Jane Krippner (Marv), St. Cloud, Myron Sand (Jeanette), St. Paul, and Rose Ann Bjorklund, Sauk Rapids; sons in law, Bud Ruprecht, St. Cloud, and Tom Thuringer, Sauk Rapids; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Sand, December 25, 1970; children, Cletus Sand, Lucille Thuringer, Genevieve Sand, and Colette Ruprecht; two brothers; and 5 sisters.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
