Jun 10, 2000 Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for Francis 'Frank' A. Boeckermann, 66, who died Saturday at his home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with military honors by Melrose Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Grey Eagle. Parish prayers will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Grey Eagle followed by Holy Name Society and St. Rosa Lions Club at 8:30.
Frank Boeckermann was born in Millwood Township, Stearns County, to Bernard and Amanda (Toenyan) Boeckermann. He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He married Joyce R. Renneker Aug. 31, 1960, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Melrose. The couple farmed in Grey Eagle Township, Todd County, for 35 years. He was on the Grey Eagle Township Board as supervisor and treasurer. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, where he was an usher for 40 years.
Survivors include his wife; children, Earl stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army, Paul of Sartell, Glen of Waite Park, Kim of Hutchinson, and Joel "Bud" at home; brothers and sisters, Lawrence of Hancock, Edmund of St. Rosa, Tony of St. Francis, Roger of St. Rosa, Marie Kampsen and Monica Rieland of New Munich, Helen Hallermann of Sartell and Caroline Ahrens of Grey Eagle; four grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Eleanor Wiechmann, Estella Ostendorf, Bernadette Hallermann and Wilfred; and infant sister Rose.
