Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Collegeville for Veronica E. Westerhoff, age 89, of Cold Spring, who died Saturday at the Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Monday (TODAY) at the St. John the Baptist Parish Center in Collegeville and after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Parish Prayers will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday at the parish center.
Veronica was born November 19, 1914 in Collegeville, MN to Mathias and Elizabeth (Fruth) Pflueger. She married George Westerhoff on August 1, 1935 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Collegeville. She worked at St. John's University for many years. She was a charter member of the Collegeville Community Credit Union and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She had a love for music and singing and was a loving mother and wife.
Surviving Veronica are her children Walter (Pat) of Coon Rapids, George (Alice) of Brooklyn Park, Connie (Jim) Hoffmann of St. Cloud, Michael (Joan) of St. Joseph, Margaret Craig of Burnsville, Diane (Gene) Sorman of Burnsville, Betty (Tom) Romanoski of St. Cloud, Mary (Rick) Zenzen of Cold Spring, JoAnn Westerhoff of Bloomington and Jim (Betsy) of Cold Spring, 21 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and brother John (Joan) Pflueger of St. Joseph.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband (2000), infant son Joseph, infant daughter Mary, granddaughter Kimberly Stich, great grandson Evan Craig, sisters Mary Zazek, Caroline Silvers and Ann Mayer and brothers Robert, Alfred and Herman Pflueger.
