Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Collegeville for George J. Westerhoff, 91, who died Friday at Assumption Home, Cold Spring. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Parish Center, Collegeville and one hour before services Tuesday at the church. Parish prayers will be 7 p.m. Monday at the parish center. Funeral arrangements were by Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
George Westerhoff was born in Germany to Bernard and Elizabeth (Landferman) Westerhoff. He came to the United States in 1928. He married Veronica Pflueger on Aug. 1, 1935, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Collegeville. He worked as a maintenance engineer at St. John's University for 43 years. He retired in 1973. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; children, Walter of Coon Rapids, George of Brooklyn Park, Connie Hoffmann and Betty Romanoski of St. Cloud, Michael of St. Joseph, Margaret Craig and Diane Sorman of Burnsville, Mary Zenzen of Becker, JoAnn Westerhoff of Bloomington, and Jim of Cold Spring; 21 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son and daughter; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; and brothers and sisters, Joseph, Bernard, August, Maria Pundsack and Johanna Meyer.
