Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 17 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Meire Grove for Herman Imdieke who died peacefully on Wednesday, February 14 at Pine Villa Care Center in Melrose. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church in Meire Grove.
Herman Imdieke was born April 18, 1921 in Meire Grove to Herman H. and Veronica (Schulte) Imdieke. He farmed with his brother Norbert north of Meire Grove until 1978. After Norbert died, Herman retired from farming and continued to live on the family farm. He enjoyed going out to eat and learning about all different kinds of cars. One of his pride and joys was his 1960 Red & White Chevy Impala. He was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church in Meire Grove, St. Josephs Mens Society, and St. Johns Catholic Aid.
Survivors include his brother and sisters, Albert "Allie" Imdieke of Meire Grove, Susan Inderrieden of Melrose, and Rose Fladung of Blackduck; and 13 nieces and nephews.
Herman was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Norbert Imdieke; sisters, Dora Marthaler and Sr. Clare Imdieke; sister-in-law, Beatrice Imdieke; and brothers-in-law, Aloys Inderrieden, Sr., Alphonse Marthaler, and Norbert Fladung. Memorials are preferred to St. Johns Catholic Church in Meire Grove.
