Services with military honors by Sauk Centre United Veterans Honor Guard will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Catholic Church for LeoJ. Imdieke, 77, who died Wednesday at St. Michael's Nursing Home.Private burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Melrose.Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Sauk Centre United Veterans will pray at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Sauk Centre, followed by parish prayers at 8.
Leo Imdieke was born in Meire Grove to Bernard and Elizabeth (Havarkamp) Imdieke. He married Lorraine W. Michels on Feb. 2, 1949, in St. Paul's Catholic Church, Sauk Centre. They lived in Sauk Centre where he was employed as a plumber by Marshall Wells. In 1959, he started Leo's Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Paul F. Donart VFW Post 2853 and American Legion Post 67.
Survivors include his wife; daughters and son, Kathleen Nix of Melrose, Marylee Heerdt of Hector, and Leon of Sauk Centre; sisters and brothers, Philomina Hagemeier of St. Cloud, Lorraine Hellermann of Vadnais Heights, and Rose Meyer, Veronica Steinhofer, Bernard and Lawrence of Meire Grove; and 10 grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his brothers, Raphael and Alphonse.Memorials are preferred.
