Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Albany for Dorothy J. Wald, 74, who died Wednesday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Corwin Collins will officiate. Interment will be in the Seven Dolors Parish Cemetery, Albany. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. (TODAY) August 25, 2006 at the Williams Funeral Home, Avon and also after 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the funeral home. Seven Dolors Parish Prayers will be at 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born to the late Herman and Rose (Thell) Beuning in Freeport. She married Gene Wald. She liked spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, quilting and gardening.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Ruth (Greg) Swanson of New Brighton; Carol (Peter) Boyum of Battle Lake; Donald (Jeanette) Schmalzbauer of Oakdale; Linda (Steve) Goffnett of Mt. Pleasant, MI; grandchildren: Jenny, Erica, Kermit, Gretchen, Heidi, Christina, Sam and Stephanie; brothers: Anthony Beuning of Avon and Norbert Beuning of Bertrum; sisters: Lorraine Hammond of Freeport; Theresa Roerick of Albany; Bernadine Ettle of Freeport; Irene Lund of St. Cloud; Mary Jane Blommel of Freeport.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Gene and one brother, Walter Beuning.
