Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, March 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph for Cecelia T. Donabauer, 81, of St. Joseph who passed away on Monday, March 12, 2007 in Laughlin, Nevada. Reverend Joseph Feders, OSB will officiate. Interment will be at later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, and after 12 Noon on Monday, at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph. The Council of Catholic Women and Senior Citizens will pray at 4:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home in St. Joseph. Cecelia was a mother, grandmother, housewife, and part-time bookkeeper. She enjoyed travel, fishing, and playing cards.
Cecelia was born on September 18, 1925 in Foley, Minnesota to Albert and Frances (Polanis) Michalski, Sr. She married Alphonse J. Donabauer on May 17, 1947 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Duelm, Minnesota. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Senior Citizens and the Council of Catholic Women.
Survivors include her children, Linda (Mark) Diez of Rochester, Arlene (Jim) Pipkin of Dayton, Wayne of St. Joseph and Galen (Karen) of Avon; 13 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; one sister, Mary McCarthy of Duluth and one brother, Sylvester of St. Augusta.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on November 10, 2002; sisters, Agnes Bergstrom and Angie Garraputa; brothers, Albert, Jr., John and Stanley. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
