Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 28 at St. Pauls Catholic Church in Sauk Centre for Raymond Frericks who died Friday, September 25, 2009 at the Pine Villa Care Center in Melrose, Minnesota. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Parish prayers will be held at 5:15 p.m. Sunday evening.
Ray is survived by his special friend, Fran Terhaar of Sauk Centre; nine children, Dorothy (Jerry) Jorgenson of Fairmont, Gerald Jerry (Linda) Frericks of Sauk Centre, Kenneth Frericks of Wadena, Eileen (Ken) Maus of Melrose, Beverly (Mark) Wiechman of Freeport, Shirley (Mark) Roberg of Sauk Centre, Bonita (Steve) Scholz of Melrose, Luann (Eric) Peterson of Grey Eagle, and Lois (Jesse) Vlaminck of Spicer; 31 grand-children; four step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Elmer (Marcella) Frericks of Melrose and Ervin Frericks of Fridley; and sisters, Esther (Alvin) Hinnenkamp of Sauk Centre, Alma (Justin) Schulte of Freeport, and Louise (Don) Haskamp of Blaine.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine Frericks on August 13, 1990; parents; brothers, Ambrose, Roman, and Jerome Frericks; and sisters Marie Zwilling and Florence Austing.
