Religion
"He was a minister of the Society of Friends for forty years." [1] [2]He was an accepted minister of the Society of Friends and served
Richland Meeting in that capacity for upward of thirty years. He was
one of the pioneers of the settlement in the Great Swamp, and he and
his sons and grandsons were among the most prominent people of that
section for a century or more. He died in Richland, 5 mo. 21, 1760.
