According to Dad Norman was a secretary with the Elwood WPA. He was a college graduate. He would have made about $19.00 per week. Grandpa Robbins [Oscar ID0014] wanted Norman to work for him shucking corn but Norman didn't want any part of it because he said he had a good job so he wasn't going to shuck corn - kind of upset grandpa because the WPA guys were supposed to work if they were offered a job - especially since the WPA wages came from the taxpayersMarriage

Guests and relatives were entertained at a miscellaneous shower Wednesday Afternoon to honor Mrs. Ina Robbins Castetter, at the home of Mrs. Ada Castor, with Mrs. Flossie Castor assisting. The color scheme was yellow and white with yellow nut cups and white mints given as favors. Two very clever contests were given with prizes going to Mrs. Mary Jerrell [Jarrell] and Mrs. Irene Reynolds. Mrs. Flo Conway read an article reprinted from Who's Who, 1962, American Edition, written by Rev. H. D. Conway. The honored couple were the recipient of many lovely gifts. Refreshments were served to the following; Mrs. Grace Robbins, Mrs. Mary Jarrell, mother and sister of the bride, Mrs. Laura Sanderson, Mrs. Mary Ridgeway, Mrs. Stella Castetter, Mrs. Lizzie Mollenkopf, Mrs. Blanche Carrier, Mrs. Cora Fannigan, Mrs. Irene Reynolds, and daughter, Joy, Mrs. Flo Conway and daughter, Gloria Helen, Mrs. Ina Castetter, Norman Castetter, Mrs. Flossie Castetter, Mrs Ada Castor, Phillip Joe Castor.
