Westfield Mother Dies in Home
Mrs. Elwood Tomlinson, mother of Mrs. Roy Wood, northeast of Westfield, died today at her home. The body has been taken to the Coaltrin Funeral Home, where arrangements are pending at this time [1]
Elizabeth Ella Tomlinson, 89, Services Monday
Mrs. Elizabeth Ella Tomlinson, 89, who lived on Route 1, northeast of Westfield, passed away Friday at her home, after an illness of six weeks.
Funeral services will be held Monday at two o'clock at Hinkle Creek Friends church with Rev. Sarah Rayle of Westfield in charge. Burial will occur in Hinkle Cemetery. Friends may call at the residence, six miles northwest of Noblesville any time after 7 p.m. Saturday. The body will lie in state at the church for an hour before the services.
Mrs. Tomlinson was born in Hamilton County in the Hinkle neighborhood, daughter of Lemuel and Emily Bray Beals and lived in this community her entire life. She and Elwood Tomlinson were married in 1889. Mr. Tomlinson passed away May 22, 1922. Mrs. Tomlinson was the last surviving member of the Beals family.
Mrs. Tomlinson was a birthright member of the Hinkle Friends church and was faithful in attendance all of her life. She was also a member of the Hinkle Creek Missionary and Ladies Aid society.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Roy B. Wood; two grandchildren, Ralph Wood of Cicero and Fred Wood of Westfield. Also two great-granddaughters, Ellen Sue Wood, 7 of Cicero, and Shirley Ann Wood, 3, of Westfield and a number of nieces and nephews survive.
Coaltrin Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. [2]
