Obituary
Elmer R. Fisher, 61, died Tuesday night at a Waterville hospital. He was born at Blaine Aug. 12, 1908, the son of Robert and Gladys (Dickinson) Fisher. He had been a resident here for the past four years and had been employed by the Snow Flake Canning Co. for 33 years, 12 of which were as plant manager. For the past nine years he has been foreman in the press department at Edwards Co., Pittsfield. He was a member of the Hartland-St. Albans Lions Club; a member of the board of directors of Scott-Webb Memorial Hospital, Hartland; and chairman of the board of directors of SAD 48. Survivors besides his widow, the former Meridith Mower, include a son, Robert F. Fisher; a daughter, Mrs. Philip (Mary) Anderson, all of St. Albans; a sister, Mrs. Ray (Cassie) Spaulding; a brother, Claude Fisher, both of Hartland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, Pittsfield.Endnotes
