Obituary
Mrs. Marjorie H. Mower, 76, died at a Waterville hospital June 10. She was born at Revere, Mass., Oct. 17, 1894, the daughter of Frank and Harriet (Curtis) Heath. She had been a resident of St. Albans for more than 50 years. She was a graduate of the Malden Hospital School of Nursing in Massachusetts. She served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps in France and Germany during World War I. She had been chairman of the Red Cross in St. Albans for many years. During World War II she held nursing classes in her hometown. She was historian of the Steeves-McCormack American Legion Post at the time of her death. Survivors include her husband, Philip, of St. Albans; one son, Edwin of Winslow; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Priscilla) Dunn of Winthrop and Mrs. E. Clair (Winifred) Russell of St. Albans; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, Hartland, Sunday at 11 a.m. with Reader Philip Emery officiating. Burial will be in the Crocker Cemetery, St. Albans. Friends may call at the Hartland chapel Saturday 2-4 and 7-8 p.m.Endnotes
