ST. ALBANS - Philip E. Mower, 90, a native and life long resident of this Somerset County Community, died April 26, 1976, at a Pittsfield hospital following a lingering illness. he was born Nov. 4, 1885, the son of Edwin and Nettie Robertson Mower. He had been a maintenance man for the Baxter Canning Company, Hartland, for many years. He was also a member of the St. Albans Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by one son, Edwin, St. Albans; two daughters, Mrs. Winafred Russell, St. Albans, Mrs. Priscilla Dunn, Winthrop; one brother, Sidney, St. Albans; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, Hartland, where friends may call Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-8 p.m. Burial will be in the Crocker Cemetery, St. Albans.Endnotes
