William "Dick" Thebeau, 65, of 244 Mount Hope Avenue, died Nov. 9, 1987, at a local hospital. He was born in Bangor, March 7, 1922, the son of Louis and Agnes L. (Hennessey) Thebeau. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the John F. Kennedy Chapter No. 6 DAV and was employed for many years by the U.S. government in Washington, D.C. Surviving besides his wife, Edith H. (Kelly) Thebeau of Bangor, are one sister, Jane A. McDonald; one uncle, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Hatch in 1987. Funeral services for the family only will be held Thursday at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Interment will be in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta.Endnotes
