Mary T. "Betty" Hatch, 61, died April 15, 1987, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born in Bangor, Sept. 16, 1925, the daughter of Louis and Agnes (Hennessey) Thebeau. She was a member of the Hancock County Extension Service, a former member of the Penobscot Valley County (sic) Club, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a New England Tel & Tel operator for 20 years. She is survived by her husband, Lewis of Ellsworth; one brother, Richard Thebeau of Bangor; one sister, Jane McDonald of Bangor; several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellsworth, with the Rev. Peter Gorham officiating. The family suggests that those who wish may make donations in Betty's memory to Eastern Maine Medical Heart Center, 489 State St., Bangor, ME 04401.Endnotes
