KENDUSKEAG - Ada W. Young, 88, widow of William James Young, died Jan. 15, 1980, at a Bangor hospital after a short illness. She was born Sept. 21, 1891, at Levant, daughter of Edwin and Edith (Herrick) Waugh. She was a graduate of Colby College and a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. She attended the Kenduskeag Union Church and the East Corinth United Methodist Church. She was a life member of good Samaritan Chapter, OES. She had formerly been a school teacher in Barre, Vt., area. Surviving are a son, William, of Pittsburgh, Pa., and two grandchildren, Carleton and Cynthia Lucas, both of Pittsburgh. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, East Corinth, with the Rev. Stanley Buzzell, pastor of the East Corinth United Methodist Church, officiating. Spring burial will be in Village Cemetery, Williamstown, Vt. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.Endnotes
