CORINNA and NEWPORT - Bertha (Ramsey) Crosby, 85, died Sept. 19, 1994, at a Pittsfield nursing home. She was born July 29, 1909, at North Bucksport, the daughter of Alva and Lucy (Matthews) Pinkham. She graduated from Brewer High School, Class of 1928. She was predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth E. Ramsey, who died in 1971; and by her second husband, Elwin L. Crosby, who died in 1991. She is survived by one son, Paul Ramsey of Hanover; two daughters, Phyllis Marley of Portland and Joan Small of Carmel; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 64 Main St., Newport, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Howard Roberts officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Newport.
