Bio NoteLeonard Mower, Esq. was very active in town affairs. He was Justice of the Peace, and for several years served as Trial Justice. He was a selectman for the Town of Greene in 1855 and 1861, as well as constable and collector of taxes for a number of years.
Bio NoteLike many of the Mower family. Leonard was musical, possessing an excellent bass voice.
Bio NotePolitically, Leonard was a strong Whig, moving to the Republican party in his later years.
Religiona life long Baptist, but believed in conditional salvation. He was often heard to quote Elder John Butler saying "Salvation is as conditional as a crop of wheat
