Obituary
Stowe, Sept. 15 -- Enos Burt Cobb, second selectman, acting overseer of the poor and holder of many other town offices during the last score of years, died this morning at three o'clock after an illness of two weeks of stomach trouble. His death occurred in the same house in which was born 67 years ago. For several years he managed the Henry Holt farm at Burlington. The funeral will be on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock under the direction of Mystic Lodge, A. F. and A. M., of which he was a member. He leaves a wife, Florence Mower, sister of Judge Edmund C. Mower of Burlington; one son, Leon E. Cobb of Johnson; a granddaughter, Lilla Cobb of Johnson; one brother, James C. Cobb of Stowe; three sisters, Mrs. Susan Thompson, Mrs. Henry Rodd and Mrs. Arthur Whitcher, all of Stowe.Endnotes
