Kenneth W. Walely (sic), 58, died Oct. 14 at a local hospital. He was born in Bangor July 6, 1916, the son of Thomas and Alice (Pelkey) Wakely. He was employed for 34 years at the Allen Lewis Co., a Bangor men's clothing store. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a veteran of World War II, Pacific Theatre, and was a member of the James W. Williams Post, American Legion, and Norman N. Dow Post, VFW. He is survived by his wife, Arlyne (Barchard) Wakely; two sons, Timothy K. of Augusta and Robert A. of Quincy, Mass.; one daughter, Kathryn Ann Wakely of Bangor, two sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Regina) Tilley and Mrs. Gilbert (Patricia) Jameson, both of Bangor; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Friends may call at the Clark-Mitchell Funeral Home, 299 Union St., Tuesday evening and Wednesday afternoon and evening.Endnotes
