Benjamin Hopkins
(Feb 1690 - Bef 22 Mar 1745)
Benjamin Hopkins was listed as a resident of the "Fourth Remove" of Harwich in 1726. His wife, Rachel, was admitted to Bewster Church 16 AUG 1724. She repented publicly and was conditionally readmitted 9 July 1723. She had further dealings with the church on 23 Sept. 1732 and was readmitted 24 Nov. 1734. Benjamin Bangs of Harwich wrote in his diary for 30 June 1744: "Widow Hopkins had a son injured. He tore his guts out with a plough and died." The entry probably refers to Rachel and one of her sons.
