Samuel Hopkins

Settlement of the estate of Richard Rich, late of Eastham, 8 April 1687 mentioned daughter Lydia Rich, the wife of Samuel. On 9 Nov. 1708, Richard Rich of Easham, as attorney for his brothers and sisters, including Lydia Hopkins sold land at Kittery, ME which had "descended unto us from our honored father, Richard Rich, deceased."
Samuel Hopkins' wife was admitted to the Brewster Church 29 October 1710, and she and son Rich were baptized there the same day. Samuel Hopkins was admitted 6 May 1711.
The will of Samuel Hopkins, yeoman of Harwich, dated 6 June 1749 and proved 7 July 1749, mentioned wife Lydia; sons Moses and Theodor; grandsons Elkana Hopkins and Lamuell Hopkins; daughters Lydia Crosbee, Relyance Crosbe, and Sarah Bangs; grandaughter Jane and daughter Hulda. Inventory was sworn to 18 October 1749 by Moses Hopkins, executor.
