Joseph Hopkins

John Mayo passed his choice of pew in the Brewster Church to son-in-law Joseph Hopkins soon after March 1723. Joseph Hopkins and his wife were admitted to the church 11 Oct. 1724, and he was serving on church committees in 1763 and 1765. Joseph Hopkins was listed as resident of the "Third Remove" of Harwich in 1726. The will of Joseph Hopkins of Harwich, dated 5 March 1771 and proved 9 May 1771, mentioned sons Isaac, Prince, and Jonathan; Mary, wife of deceased son Joseph; daughter Mary; daughter Elizabeth Rowley; grandaughters Phebe and Huldy Merrick and son Nathan.
