Samuel Connable

(April, 1717 - December 3, 1796)

Samuel was born in Boston 1717 and fought in the American Revolution. He is probably solely responsible for the engineering behind maple syrup. He is cited in sources as having tremendous engineering ability, same as his sister Mary. Samuel married Mary English and they lived in Bernardston and helped to build and defend the town in its early years. Samuel and Mary are buried in Old Cemetery in Bernardston, both memorials have headstone photos, their headstones are fantastic
