Rebecca Connable married Ezra Shatttuck and the family was one of several to follow William Dorrellite's religion believing humans should not kill animals and should not eat or use animal materials. Ezra made most of the shoes for group. Rebecca and Ezra lived in the Leyden, Bernardston area, two of their daughters married Dorrells.
