William Earl Miller

(October 7, 1879 - March 27, 1949)

William was the first son of James and Mary Ella. The family farmed. William married Lola Miller and was a rural mail carrier. In 1920 or so he was perhaps the first in the area to take an auto vacation- he and Lola toured Wisconsin- with 2 teenagers! Their daughter Florence went west to Bend, Oregon. Lola and William visited often and moved to Bend, Oregon at William's retirement. William died there of a heart attack then was buried in Greene.
