Hilka Frerichs was the daughter of Casjen and Kuna Jansen Frerichs. She sailed to America at age 8, was confirmed in Parkersburg, Iowa at the Lutheran Church at age 15 and married Ernest Hahn at age 18. They farmed and had a family.
