Matilda Flood was the oldest (living) child of William and Delia Angell Flood. Her father was in the Civil War then farmed. She married Richard Mockford at age 25 and they had 2 daughters. Matilda was a widow in 1910 and lived on her own, then with a grandson until her death in 1941. On her birthday Feb 26 in 1931 her friends and family surprised her with a birthday party, she was 73.
