Philippa was born in 1891 to Richard and Matilda Flood Mockford, she had an older sister Lucy. Philippa married Harve Speedy they had 6 kids and lived in Allison. Philippa was a telephone operator, her religion was Congregationalist, she and Harve had surprise parties for each other, she was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star and part of their WW 2 war effort.
