Sarah Ellwyn was born probably June 17, 1593 in Heigham, England. She married Michael Metcalf in England. Michael was persecuted for his religion so the Metcalfs sailed for America April 15,1637 Michael wrote: ''arrived three days before Midsummer with my wife, nine children, and a servant, Thomas Comberbach, aged 16.".
