Although many sources provided information on Phillip this writer is grateful for the help and the extensive research of Phillip by Ruth Hanson Dilley. Here is some highlights of Philip written by Ruth: "Benjamin F. Coleman was the original owner of the farm on which the author grew up. This farm was on the southern town line of Clayton Township , Crawford County, Wisconsin about 2 and one half miles east of Bell Center and about one mile west of present day highway 61. This is a very hilly region in Southwestern Wisconsin. This farm originally contained all of the Southwest quarter of Section 31 Township 10 North Range three west and contained one hundred and fifty two and thirty three hundredths of an acre. The patent for this land was signed by President James Buchanan, F.J.Albright Secretary, June 1, 1858.
In 1890 the Coleman Heirs sold the farm to Margaret Ellen (Coleman) Whiteaker and her husband Joseph. The deed lists all of the heirs of Benjamin Coleman and was a source for this work.

Notes
Marriage
Online Ohio, County Marriages, 1789-1997. The handwritten certificate indicates marriage performed by the Justice of the Peace [Benjamin's brother James Hill Coleman] on 14 February 1826.
There are some researchers indicating that Benjamin married Ann Rouse in June 1825 and that Salathial may be Ann's son. This writer could not find a record of this marriage or Salathial birth, but did find in online Ohio Marriages 1789-1997 that on 27 June 1825 Ann Rouse married Abel Crofsley.
