From the Adkins Chronicles: "Elizabeth (Whitmore) Adkins died in the year 1700. The inventory of her estate valued at (pounds) 111-19-00 was taken by Nathaniel Stowe, Alexander Ro_o and Joseph Wetmore on 5 November 1700. Legalees were her seven children, whose ages ranged from 14-22. The boys received their shares in land and housing, the eldest, Solomon, being granted a double share according to the custom of the time. The girls' portions were in personal property. Two of the boys who were minsors chose Solomon their brother as their guardian and the court appointed Nathaniel Stowe to be the guardian of the minor daughter, Elizabeth."
