Nancy HOPKINS

(1 Sep 1794 - 29 Nov 1885)

NOTE:
Grandson Abraham Moore, the father of "Cousin Margaret", and older brother of Harry H. Moore II, told Margaret about his memories of his grandmother Nancy Killen Hopkins Moor, wife of Abraham Moor.
He said she was strong in character, gentle, religious, and she enjoyed her herb garden and flowers. She especially loved white roses. As a boy, young Abraham hitched his grandmother's horse to her carriage so she could drive the 5 miles to her Dover Presbyterian Church. She was of Scottish descent.
She kept wine made from her lavendar blossoms. She kept it in a mahogany wine chest and gave Abe a sip once in awhile. She gave the 1740 wine chestto her grandson Abe.
