On August 4, 1914 the SS Columbia arrived at New York having departed Glasgow, Scotland. Aboard was 21 year old Fannie Miller, a tailoress. Her last permanent address was Glasgow, Scotland and the closest person she left behind was her father, A. Miller, at 16 S. Portland Street Glasgow, Scotland. Her final destination was her cousin Geo. (Leo?) Davis at 62 E. 122nd New York. She was 5 feet two, had a fair complexion and brown eyes and hair. She had either 5 or 25 dollars in her possession and had been born in Leeds, England.Census

In 1930 Joseph Zaideman [indexed as Zardman] 39 yr. old, lived at 1407 Springfield Ave. Chicago, Ill. with his wife Fanny, 35 yr. old, and daughter Betty 2 & 1/2 yr. old. He owned the three flat apartment worth $15,000: the two other families who rented each paid him $70 per month rent. He was born in Poland and owned a radio. He had been married 4 years and was an installment route salesman. He was naturalized and had immigrated in 1921.Census (family)

She stated that she was born January 21, 1893 in Leeds, England. She was married on December 20, 1925, and that Joseph Zaideman was born in Gostamyn, Poland.Obit
The following obit appeared in the Feb 28, 1976, Chicago Tribune on Page N_A20:"Fannie Zaideman, passed away Sunday of 1224 Ki????m Dr. Indianapolis,
formerly of Chicago, beloved mother of Betty (Jack) Cohen and Ruby (Leonard) Kohn; sister of Sol Miller, all of Indianapolis: also survived by four grandchildren, three great grandchildren. Graveside services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Rosemont Cemetery, Chicago."
