He passed away in Warsaw, Poland while visiting his mother. The American Consular Service's report stated: "Deceased reported to have had no personal belongings except clothes and checks. Before death he is reported to have delivered $3500 in American Express Co. checks to his mother, Sura Muszkatel. Checks were countersigned and were cashed almost immediately. Mother paid funeral expenses of $300, $250 on promissory note and $250 to doctors and nurses out of proceeds of checks. Information furnished by Warsaw relatives of deceased."Endnotes
