Rose Lester of Del Ray Beach, Fla., formerly of Cleveland, died on Aug. 29 at the age of 71. She had moved to Del Ray Beach nine years ago. A native Clevelander, Mrs. Lester worked with women's clothing. First, she was in charge of samples for Bobbie Brooks. Later, she owned her own company, Teens-n-Queens, and finally, was the manager of The Sample Shop. Mrs. Lester held various chapter offices for Cleveland Chapter of B'nai B'rith Women, and after moving to Del Ray Beach, helped found the Cleveland Club Del Ray Beach Chapter and was its social chairman. She was the widow of the late Reuben Solonche and is survived by her husband, Louis Lester of Del Ray Beach, Fla; daughter, Zillah Green; son, Al Solonche; stepson, Samuel Lester; sister, Edna Kutler; brother, Sol Kaminsky; and ten grandchildren. Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or The Reuben Solonche Memorial Garden c/o Jewish National Fund."
