Case 31283, Sarah Ames of Andover.In her will dated 11 March 1850, Sarah left daughter Hannah fifty dollars and the use of the northeast corner bedroom and an adjoining chamber and use of the cellar and well of the house where Sarah now lived. All the rest of the estate was left in equal parts to her four daughters Sarah Smiley of Peterboro, NH, Elizabeth Abbot Tuck of Andover, Hannah Ames, and Rhoda Bailey of Andover, Solomon Holt was named executor. It was left to the executor and the heirs to decide whether to sell or convey the real estate. Also on 11 March 1850, Sarah added a codicil to the will increasing the payment to Hannah to one hundred dollars plus an additional payment of fifty dollars. Hannah would also have the use of the whole dwelling house rather than two rooms.
