On 24 May 1858, the following heirs-at-law signed a request that Solomon Holt be named administrator: Sarah Smiley, John Tuck, Elizabeth A. Tuck, William Bailey, Rhoda Bailey, Moses B. Ames, Gayton O. Ames, Mehitable A. Woodbury, Benjamin Ames, and Mary P. Payson. The total value of the estate was $509.23 and after payment of funeral expenses, each of the following heirs received $76.72: sister Sarah Smiley, sister, Betsey Tuck, sister Rhoda Bailey, and legal representatives of Simeon Ames deceased brother.
