On 1 January 1773, Ephraim Butterfield entered an agreementwith Philip and Abigail Snow in which Philip Snow conveys property to Ephraim butinvolves Philip promising to make a payment of one hundred pounds with interestto Ephraim which will void the sale. On 20 July 1773, Ephraim Butterfieldyeoman of Hallowell and Robert Kennedy of Hallowell entered an agreementrelated to the sale of properties to each other. On 8 March 1779, EphraimButterfield of Hallowell with his wife Mary, in consideration of £350, conveyedto John Church the property in Hallowell described as parts of lots 35 and 34.On 9 February 1779, Ephraim and Mary sold property in Hallowell to George Brownfor payment of £25.[1] Thefamily was in Vassalborough.
