On 22 October 1799,Abraham Butterfield of Tyngstown, for payment of $356, purchased from Oliver Spauldingof Milford, New Hampshire a lot of land belonging to Oliver Spaulding by grantfrom the Legislature of Massachusetts being the original right of JohnSpaulding, the property as described in the proprietors’ books. On 24 September1800, Abraham Butterfield of Tyngstown, for payment of $29.15, purchased twolots of 114 acres each in Tyngstown from William Hobart of Geneva, New York.
