John Bradford blacksmith of Bradford did not leave a will and his estate entered probate 7 June 1836 with Nathaniel Peabody as administrator at the request of heirs John Peabody, Leonard Peabody, Enoch Allen, Roxana Peabody, Benjamin Carleton, Sally Carleton, and Charlotte C. Tenney. Real estate was valued at $6,866 which included the homestead with buildings valued at $2,050, a new house with barn on six acres valued at $1,870, a shop valued at $150, and 12 smaller lots including pasture and wood lots. Personal estate was $1,519.46. Debts and expenses were $1,639.75.1
