The Doane Family records that after the marriage of Lydia and Lazarus they removed to Middletown, Conn. [Note: Middletown is located in Middlesex County].
From the Beekman Patent: "Born 7 June 1708 and married Lydia Doane of Eastham 30 Sept. 1731 with intentions of 4 Sept. 1731. Lazarus Griffin (sic) was a tenant in lot 8 of the Philips Patent in 1754." Note: Philipse Patent was previously known as the Hartland Patent.
