Mr. and Mrs. Carl Reisinger of North Hudson announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Rose Marie, to John C. Stayberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Stayberg.
August 24 is the date picked for the wedding at St. Patrick's Catholic church. Both young people are graduates of Hudson High School.
Miss Reisinger is an employee in the offices of the St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company and Stayberg is employed by the Great Northern railroad in St. Paul.

John "Jack" Stayberg, 73, of Hudson, died of cancer Friday, Sept. 5, at his residence.
Jack was born on July 23, 1935, in Hudson, the sone of Herbert and Helen (Hughes) Stayberg. He was raised in Hudson, attending grade school prior to graduating from Hudson High School in the class of 1953.
On August 24, 1957, he was united in marriage to Rose Marie Reisinger at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hudson.
Jack worked for the railroad his entire life. He began working clerical jobs for Great Northern Railroad before it became Burlington Northern. He retired [1 September 1990] from Burlington Northern as the manager of purchasing.
Jack was a true sports buff. He thoroughly enjoyed watching a golf match, a baseball or football game, especially the Vikings. He also loved a day on the golf course and seeing old friends at the Hudson Golf Club. Moreover, he also instructed youth programs at the course.
He enjoyed the beauty of Rose Marie's gardening at their country home and mowing the grass. He took great pleasure from spending every minute he could on their boat, the "Oh Yeah," on the St. Croix River. He loved being surrounded by friends, such as his Adventure Tuesday club. But his greatest smile came when his grandchildren and kids would spend the day with them.
