Mrs. Mary Riedel died at the River Falls Nursing home, Thursday, October 18, at the age of 78 years.
She was born in Stillwater, Minnesota, April 19, 1884. On November 27, 1902 she was married to Edward Riedel of Hudson, and had been a resident of this city until she moved to the nursing home two years ago.
Mrs. Riedel was the daughter of August and Bertha (Post) Lieder.
She is survived by three sons, Roland of St. Paul; Leonard of Hudson; Arthur of Sacremento, Calif.; one daughter, Helne (Mrs. Thomas Bolton) of Medford, Oregon; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1956.
Mrs. Riedel was a member of Trinity Lutheran church and an honorary member of its Ladies Aid Society.
Funeral services were at Trinity church Sunday, October 21, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Marti Dicke officiating. Interment was made in Willow River Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Martin Ohrt, Henry Olson, Arthur Volker, David Sahnow, Henry Moldenhauer and Russell Norris. Burke Funeral Home was in charge.
