Mrs. Lindstron, 85, Funeral is Sunday
Mrs. Hedvig Lindstrom, widow of the late Andrew Lindstrom, died early last Thursday mornng, Sept. 14, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Lindemann, on Fourth street where she had made her home in recent years. Although she had been ailing for the past two years, she was seriously ill only a few days. She was 85 years old.
Hedvig Peterson was born in Sweden on September 4, 1859. In 1872, at the age of thirteen, she came to America with her parents, the family settling on a farm near La Crosse, Wis. In 1875, she went to Minneapolis where she was employed until her marriage to Andrew Lindstrom of La Crosse, on January 4, 1879. The Lindstrom family resided on a farm near La Crosse until 1914 when they came to Hudson. In 1929 they celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary. Mr. Lindstrom died on Nov. 16, 1930.
Mrs. Lindstrom was a fine type of Christian woman and was devoted to her church, home and family. She was a member of Zion Lutheran church.
She is survived by eight sons and daughters, Fred Lindstrom of Blair, Wis.; Mrs. Ole Molledahl (Minnie) of La Crosse, Wis.; George of Minneapolis; Miss Amanda Lindstrom of Hudson; Albert of Cornell, Mich.; Mrs. Robert Lindemann (Anna) of Hudson; Clarence of Portland, Ore.; and Arthur Lindstrom of Hudson.
One sister, Mrs. Marie Westman of Minneapolis, twenty grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Lindemann hme and at 2:30 o'clock at Zion Lutheran church, Rev. C. W. Almen officiating. Many "In Memoriam" gifts were presented by old friends and neighbors both from La Crosse and Hudson. The pallbearers were Carl Sandeen, Leonard Anderson, Albin Anderson, Arvid Johnson, Olof Johnson and Oscar Sandberg.
Out of town relatives at the funeral included Fred Lindstrom of Blair, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Ole Moledahl and daughters, Mrs. Christianson and Mrs. Outcelt of La Crosse; Mrs. Marie Westman, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Westman, Mrs. Oscar Anderson, Mrs. Harold Enger, Mrs. Albert Peterson and two daughters, and Mrs. George Lindstron and family, all of Minneapolis.
