Mrs. Torpey Dies at Home of Her Son
Mrs. Adelphine Torpey, widow of the late James Torpey, passed away on Saturday, May 31, at the home of her son, Frank A. Torpey, 189 W. George Street. Mrs. Torpey spent her entire married life, with the exception of the last year and a half, in Hudson. She is survived by her son, Frank of St. Paul, one daughter, Mrs. Sherman Brownlee, of Minneapolis, and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held in St. Paul on Tueday afternoon with interment in the Willow River Cemetery in Hudson.
Through her sweet disposition and sterling character, Mrs. Torpey won many friends in Hudson who were deeply grieved by her death. She was ever true to her friends and in return won their love.
